Creative Proccess
Insights from students, teachers and parents was critical during the creative process. The package is designed to build anticipation, confidence, and a sense of responsibility instead of feelings of intimidation about traveling. Each student receives on their doorstep a personalized package, including a welcome letter, name tag, shirt, notepad and schedule and map sandwiched between clear fun-fact sheets. The package is a controlled chaos of information with a sense of humor.
Result
The package played a critical role for the project. It not only amplified the energy of the students before their trip but parents had full confidence in what the program had to offer. The style of graphics and color in the package helped the parents to be opened-minded and excited about the experience of the program. During the camp the students were consistently curious and enthusiastic about using the materials they were given. Most importantly they were proud and well prepared to navigate their new environment.
